If you are new to yoga, you may not realize that there are as many different styles of yoga as there are varieties of ice cream at Baskin Robbins. It is important that you know why you want to do yoga, in order to choose a style that will best fit your needs and goals. Along my path I have needed healing just like everyone else. So, for that reason, I offer a style that is versatile: it is always healing, while the pranic and energetic peaks and valleys vary in the different sequences I offer. Some days we have lots of energy and we really want to work on strength and endurance. Some days we can hardly move our bodies and we need a yoga that will move slowly and heal us from the inside out.
Chitta Vritta Niroda- Calming the mental fluctuations of the mind. All great yogis will tell you that that is the key to enlightenment. In that space of mental clarity, all possibilities exist. Unbounded creativity, infinite potentiality and bliss reside beyond the mental chatter. This is achieved in many ways. You can sit still in lotus position with eyes closed or trance dance to music that moves the room and rocks your soul. I'm here to share with you all of this. The 3 B's. This fundamental workshop will leave you with a rock solid understanding of the most integral aspects of yoga for your own practice as well as to be able to teach others. Bandhas- the energetic and muscular mind/body connection and control necessary to achieve the highest levels of a Hatha Yoga practice. Breathwork- several pranayama techniques will be explored as well as their benefits and proper time and place of practice. Balance on all levels (mind, body, spirit and emotions) will be explored. The "back" of the heart is where we store many of our earlier emotional tension from childhood, relationships and unmet expectations from life. Working with asanas, breath, visualization, and mantras we learn to release that which is not serving you to become more free to love and be loved, to share compassion, forgiveness, empathy and joy. Practice with us or just visualize yourself doing it and absorb the healing vibration from the group. Bija mantras as the seed sound syllables that harmonize and balance the chakras. This class will also have an emphasis on breathing with the movements of the vinyasa practice and moving with grace.

This workshop is all about Yoga Nidra and Guided Meditations specifically designed with intention and purpose. Yoga as Spiritual Practice- Wearing the Crown of Freedom
Your Life with a Miracle. Yoga literally translates to mean "Union". Union with the Divine Source. With the Supreme Creator. Union with all living beings, angels, spirit guides, here and beyond the physical realm. We are born Divine. The circumstances of life often leave heavy karma to be released. Detoxification of the internal organs, as well as the largest organ on the body: your Skin. In this challenging Detox Yoga Vinyasa Flow, we will explore the 3 stages of physical body detoxification, ending in a healing/cleansing meditation. We will also discuss the essentials of dietary detoxification and how to integrate it into your monthly schedule to reverse disease, maintain health and maximize your inner and outer radiant beauty. 10. Healing/Restorative Yoga and Self Massage-
Learn how to heal yourself. We don't always have access to a healer or massage therapist, but we can certainly use the loving touch each and every day! In this hands on workshop, you will learn how to use yoga to heal yourself, moving slowly, in a Yin Yoga Slow Vinyasa Flow practice. We will utilize ancient techniques of acupressure to access healing pressure points on the body and breath into them to release stored tension and pain. Anyone who has been injured, had surgeries, been in car accidents or who is going through physical, emotional or mental stress will greatly benefit from this workshop. All Levels. Teacher Trainees will learn how to teach this Highly Needed practice to students of all levels and abilities and how to work with injury and disability on many levels.
11. Family and Partner Yoga- Connecting Families through Loving Playfulness
The joy of family is to play together! In this fun and interactive workshop you will learn partner poses, and how to do yoga with your children, spouse, and/or friends! You will have fun, laugh, and experience great pleasure and you assist each other into fun, strengthen, opening asanas/poses. Seated, Standing, Flying and Lying down poses will be taught. No prior experience necessary. Teacher Trainees will learn how to instruct and assist students in these fun classes and how to demonstrate effectively, so everyone is safe and has a great experience.

It is a 3000 year old "folk art" and healing method, that uses simple procedures to rapidly eliminate disease both physical and emotional.
It balances and harmonizes your body's shakti/chi/prana or whichever term you use to describe the natural energy that is streaming through your body keeping you alive.
It can roughly be described as a combination of the benefits of: assisted stretching, yoga, acupressure/meridian therapy, and meditation.

There are reasons why this Therapy the receiver wears clothing...
Clothing is worn during the Thai Yoga Therapy session. (Something similar to what you would wear to a yoga class is appropriate). Drift away to your favorite galaxy while I take you on a healing journey you will never forget.
Are there any limitations that could prevent a person from receiving this form of therapy?
The answer is no. The wonderful thing about Thai Yoga Therapy, is that your current condition will improve with each session. Whatever you are currently dealing with physically, it can and will begin to heal rapidly, as the blood flow/circulation improves, stiffness in muscles lessens, and natural state of balance and harmony begin to take effect. Young or old, everyone can benefit from this healing art-form.
How much is a session?
Each session is an investment into your total health and healing. This therapy has been used as prevention and at times instead of surgery and other traditional medical procedures for pain, dis-ease and mind/body imbalances. Traditionally, people were turning to psychiatry and surgery to alleviate mind/body/emotional ailments, but not so much any more. This holistic and therapeutic treatment will leave you feeling more calm, centered, balanced, open and relaxed than you have felt in years. Try a session, see for yourself!
How long do sessions last?
Sessions are typically 1.5 hours. It is recommended you start with at least one session each week, for the full healing experience, although you will feel the effects after only one session. One of my clients, a Dr. at Boca Hospital, has been dedicated to his Thai Yoga practice for 2 years, twice a week for 1 hour sessions. I am open to what works best for you. Call to discuss options.
