Vinyasa means flowing movement between poses (asanas) connected by rhythmic breathing. Power yoga is a rigorous workout that develops strength and flexibility while keeping students on the move. Poses are varied with each class. The first half of class is standing poses, which builds strength, improves balance, coordination and flexibility. The second half of class is floor work, and class always ends with at least 5 minutes of laying down meditation (Sivasana). You will sweat and be challenged, while feeling a deep sense of stress relief and accomplishment simultaneously. This style is for you if you don’t have many physical constraints and are interested in being physically, mentally and spiritually challenged. |
